I was just let go today. They called me in to the office and the sevice manager said he had to let me go. He didn't say the reason. I asked if it was my work or something that I did and he said no. He did mention that it was political, whatever that meant. I have only been working there since August and I thought everything was going ok. I am just shocked and don't understand.

cat: this is never a good situation to have to deal with especially if you were given no better explanation other than "politics." did you p.o. a son-in-law or something?

Someone once said, if you get fired, and didn't see it coming......................then someone was doing a poor job of managing! If in fact, your honest with yourself, and cannot understand the reason, then you are probably far better off leaving even under these circumstances. Maybe they weren't up to your level. Good luck!

They may have hired you just so they can catch up on work and let you go when it subsided. Wouldnt be the first time I have seen this happen. In any case, it sounds like a company not worth working for to begin with. When I was looking for employment, if I had the notion that the boss was a prick I would stand up and say Im sorry but I cant work for you. They would have a shocked expression on their mug.
