Air Handler

We have to repair and/or replace our Carrier air handler (FB4ANF042) soon. The unit is approx. 9 years old and developed a coolant leak. It’s our understanding the cost (parts & labor) to purchase a new air handler isn’t much more then to repair/replace the coil. We would consider going with another Carrier or another manufacture if it’s worth considering. With that said, which units should we consider?

I would first ask your friends, family and neighbors about contractors that they maybe have had good experiences with. Brand should be a secondary decision. A quality contractor with good installation and service techniques is a MUST. Good luck

If it were me I'd go with another carrier air handler.I do not like mismatched units.You rarely get the effenciency with mismatched units.
