I have read a few question on the forums and I have interviewed and researched 3 hvac contractors and I have picked out my hvac contractor, but he has offered 4 options: A carrier brand gaspak 12 seer, amana gaspak 13 seer, a dual fuel gas pak and his own brand (weathermasters) He states that it is built by the largest private heating and colling manufactureer. The amana and the good man have better warranties than the carrier but Consumer reports states that Carrier has a better relaibilty that amana, or the private label (I think it may be a goodman??) What is everyone experience with these? I alos have a trane quote but it is much higher. Some people told me that lennox was good.

Any message would be appreciated.

That one sounds like the winner...but ask if this model is service friendly.

I'd go dual fuel Carrier, but they say I'm prejudice.

You are :D

But in many areas of the country, dual fuel is a very wise move these days with natural gas getting so pricey. So that might just answer your "which one" question right there.
