dual pacs

I have recieved two quotes for a five ton 16 seer dual pac unit. One is a Trane The other is American Standard. Both instalations are close to the same.
Both companies are very reputable. One quote is a thousand dollars higher.I do not have any model numbers.
My question is, which brand is better? They both are made by the same company.

The most important thing to consider is the installer and the company. If you get a good installer and he does his thing, either of those units will run a long time. Should it break, you'll need the company to be there to back up what they are telling you now to get you to buy. There is not a $1000 worth of difference in the equipment you are choosing from, but there well could be in the companies. Good luck with your decision...

Trane & A-S packaged units are 100% indentical. Oh, 99.5%, the stickers are different :)
