new equipment i am installing . dual circuit 15 ton. circuit one pulls 200 micron vac in 6 hours. good and ready to run after i broke vac and add factory recommended 410 a. circuit 2 will not vac below 5000 . checked all fittings sightglass txv no leals on my work. may have leak in new evap coil,{row split} or ball valves on circuit 2 leaking by. all new stuff. so which is better open up unit and check coil inlets and ubends or recover shipment charge of 410a and pressurize entire circuit 2 cu. and airhandler. boss is screaming no time for this problem .what do you guys think.

Leak check it. What else can you do? You have to get it right now or you will have problems down the road.

i let gauges stand over weekend . if ball valves are leaking by i am hoping i will see some positive pressure. if i do i will recover all 410a open valves and then pressurize leak check again and evac and charge. my offic just does not want to hear it is going to take more time. and i know i am not going to get carrier to give up anything.you should see howw poorly this unit is in made. and what you have to do in the field to airhandler to install. thanks for your reply i guess i will hit the deck running tomorrow. going to be a hot week

You will need to pressurize it, locate and repair the leak(s). Tell your boss to calm down, when new equipment fails on start-up there will be a labor and material allowance from the factory. It may not be as much as he wants but its better than nothing, besides he is suppose to include some amount of warranty reserve in every job to help cover this exact thing.

Recover the charge and try pulling a vac on both circuits at the same time. This will pinpoint the ball valves (if vac goes down) or rule them out (if vac stays up)
If vac stays up, a trace of 22 with Nitro and a new tip for the electronic leak checks. Hopefully it aint too windy for you
