Does anyone have any experience with Carriers 33cntranlon gateway. It looks pretty straightforward but I'd like to get some input from the field before I quote it for the customer. Would like to use it on a couple of 30HXC chillers.
Cheers,

You can only command Chiller on (SNVT_switch) and give it a setpt (SNVT_Temp_P), and a capacity limit. It shows an nviOccSchedule but when I linked it up, it controls nothing. I also found that the dry contacts for evap and condenser pumps need to be hard wired into your controls because if someone puts the chiller into LOCAL mode run you need to get them pumps running. On the outputs you get entering and leaving evap and condenser temps, Oil press diff, evap reefer press, condenser reefer pressure,Comp freq amps %, System alarm and run status.
Took a little reading of manual but seems to be working just fine. I would definitely use it again

On the schedule, don't you have to setup the non-LON side to allow it to function?

Just remember you need a gateway per chiller. 60 points per gateway can be configured or standard LonMark chiller profile 8040 version 1.0 may be used. Make sure you get the latest gateway version 1.2 as it rectifies problems in the XIF files for the chiller profiles.

Carrier also has a Modbus/Bacnet MSTP gateway, it allows the same access to the status points, and also allows more points to be overridden than the Lon gateway.

Sys, the carrier tech set it up on the CCN side when I wasn't there. It doesn't make sense to provide the snvt and not have it control anything

The Dog, the Carrier side needs to have the occupancy configured as a global schedule, for LON to write to it, and as the 'default' is a local schedule it may be likely that Carrier didn't set this up correctly for you.
(as usual if you don't specify, they don't do!)

I have had trouble in the past with these locking up when they get commissioned. I would then have to cycle power on them. Has Carrier fixed this issue?
I am also fixing to bring some of these into Tridium AX, anybody got any tips for this?

Carrier also has a Modbus/Bacnet MSTP gateway, it allows the same access to the status points, and also allows more points to be overridden than the Lon gateway.
If that is the case I'd order Modbus and run the Modbus directly into the ilon100 and then it's back to LON with the "allows more points to be overridden". Why they just didn't make the LON gateway with the same amount of points is apparently a sales/marketing decision.

I have also the same problem on one of my installation (3-chillers with individual Lon gateways)... one of which is connecting well and sending correct readings while the other two are giving 0 values... I have already tried to cycle the power of these interfaces but still no success.
