I recently purchased a DX-9100 to set up a bench testing area where I can learn the controller. I noticed that you need the GX-9100 software to be able to program, backup , or modify the controller. Where can I get a copy of this software?

NECC in phili Pa (neccdelivers.com) has a cd with the all of the software necessary. Ask for Auggie I deal with him there.

Thanks the the responses. I went and contacted Auggie via email. Hopefully I'll hear from him soon.
Is the Dx-9100 or metasys in general a difficult thing to get started with?

We found that the CGNA Controls group of distributors carry MW-Tool-0. Go to the CGNA web site at www.cgnacontrols.net (http://www.cgnacontrols.net/) and find a distributor near you.
I got mine from CCIKelly from this site. He was GREAT to work with!

The DX-9100 is not an easy controller. Quite a few experienced technicians run from the DX because it can be configured so many different ways. I've had to reverse engineer many a DX and it can be daunting.
