Just took my mouse apart and cleaned it. Looked like all the wheels just went through the sippi hole. Now all are clean and shiney. I guess I can stop bashing the mouse up and down on the desk now.

Im navigatin' like a silicon valley geek and my computer feels brand new. And its Friday too. Ahhhhhh.

I've got a remote mouse and keyboard. Very nice. Except for the other day when they weren't working right and I replaced the batteries and they still didn't function properly. Then I noticed someone in the family knocked the reciever thingy behind the desk. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/sauer/angry-smiley-035.gif

As James said, get an optical mouse. I've had mine for 2 years at least and its been bullit proof since I installed it. I only clean the mouse when the top has an annoying amount of smudge dirt on it. The cost is fair too, I was going through 2 or 3 MS mouses yearly until I bought the optical.

Does your mouse leave little brown specs on the pad?

Cool

Last time I looked I could not even find a roller ball type of mouse.

Wanted one for my laptop, you plug in all these USB drives and edge cards and they suck your battery power, I was looking for a roller ball type and could not find.

Bought an optical one for cheap at PC Powerhouse.
