View Full Version : TEGG testing?

One of my customers had an electrical contractor do some testing of the electrical starter panel for their chillers. I am not familiar with this test and was wondering if anyone could tell me what TEGG testing is. The results of the test indicated an abnormal amount of noise coming from the start contactor, it passed a thermal scan though. I disassembled the contactor inspected and cleaned but did not see any indications of a failing contactor. I would appreciate any feedback on this form of testing if possible....thanks

Didn't find any real specifics, but here's a website http://www.tegg.com/corp/home.htm

looks like a bit of hype, like home inspectors. They probably hace a recording software, that will track voltages, amps, and meg readings, its probably a service contract. I am not judging there work, They may be top of the line people and a great value I don't know, the advertisment looked like they were making something out of nothing and selling it.
