I don`t have all the info some of the people will ask about this job but I am expecting to receive some useful tips with what I have.
WIF.pump down system.It`s not going below 15*F is the complain.404a,1\2 ton external equ.txv.Two spider 3/16 cap tubes after txv feeding evap coils.p-trap existing.Sight glass full at all times.shut the condensor unit off still full.Pumped down at suction service valve pulls down to 10 inw.and holds.can not pump down at king valve,at the end of pump down high side rises excessively.low side around 30 psi during this pump down.operating pressures 230 psi 35 psi.sight glass full.(after washing condenser coil;already clean).
tightened txv bulb;no change, tried to close the txv ,the cap tube that feeds the bottom evap coil shows frost at 30 psi low side.in short the whole bottom evap ices up.centered the txv stem;worse.opened the stem back.
tomorrow I am gonna add some stuff I got from supplyhouse for moisture treatment.if it doesn`t work gonna try to make new spiders ,change txv and the 404.any tips?especially in making the spiders.2 3/16 into 1/2..Or do you think pressurizing the cap tubes from the low side may unclogged it?
