I have a Lennox MGF80. Following multiple freeze-ups over the past couple years, I removed the front coil panel to find the fins quite dusty. Long story short, fins have been cleaned and I tore out the wet/mildew/moldy black faced ~3/4" fiberglass insulation that wrapped the cabinet. Having a very difficult time finding something similar to replace it with. Any suggestions on similar thermal interior cabinet insulation or keep it out of there and wrap it externally?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your very helpful community.

Brian -- I would keep it internally insulated. Supply houses have a inner duct insulation and spray on glue to tack it down. Make sure everything is dry when you start. Should hold fine until the whole system gets changed out.
