Small point of contention at work.
Running two Trane CVH 1200 ton chillers in a production environment.
Based on my experience, starting the chiller is faster than restarting after a power glitch.
Correct?

what style Unit Control Panel is on that chiller, and with a TOD start the inhibited restart has timed out for a true start.Trane wants 30 minutes before that winding take another hit,if it weren't their guys would be restarting it at will.like a car on a winters morning!

that also depends on the oil temp, if too cold it acts almost as a backdoor anti-recycle timer. needs to be above 95F at min.

in that case put the oil pump in HAND and get the turbo torch......small tip!!

The only reason it would be faster to start is because on a restart it has to go through postlube which takes 3 minutes and then it can initiate a start sequence.
