We are no longer usig the boilers for Summer, but maintenace still
wants to run the two transfer pumps year round,24/7 ,
to constantly keep
the # 6 heating oil traveling through the thermostatically controled
electric heaters on the boilers.
They are concerned if the oil does not circulate ,it will
clog every thing up.
I want a middle ground ,a combination of controlling the pumps by
1) temperature control located on the line between the storage tank
and the pump suction.
2) Time clock that will run the pumps a couple of hours a day
What is the general procedure for this?
Thnk you
