hey guys looking for help at wits end have spent countless hours on phone with goodman tech to no evail here is the problems i installed 3 goodman aruf4860 air handlers in the horizontal postion in the ceiling in a bar when it gets busy the unit fills up drain pan and dumps out all over. i have tried unhooking return so it pulld directly through the coil still leaks, i have installed traps still leaks, tried venting traps still leaks the only way to stop it is to open the blower door about 5 inches its basically pulling so much vacuum that it wont let it drain any help would be awesome i have tried everything and goodman has no ideas?

dumb question, did u remember to bust out the knockouts on the pan? What about your pitch on condensate line? are these old lines that are clogged?

deeper trap due to high neg. pressure ??????? Fan speed????? Sounds like very high neg pressure in coil!!!!!!!
Like prior post plug out????? when put on side holes are not open.

I agree, you need a larger drain trap due to the extreme negative static pressure in the return.

Why is the return static pressure so high? I would be looking at that, before I would put a 14" deep trap in place.

Sounds like your return is not big a enough

I thought he ruled out return air when he disconnected and pulled through an open return...if not moving enough supply could have same effect right?

Do a static pressure test to determine the sp. If it is outside of the A/H spec's for the selected fan speed then you need to fix that first.

sounds like a drian line issue had same kind issue found that drain lines were hooked together on one common drain and it would keep all the water in the unit had to put bigger drain line to solve issue
