Hello HVAC-Talk. I'm a new guest and by joining this forum, I hope to gain insight and share experience and camaraderie with my fellow HVAC/R Techs. Backstory: I've been in the HVAC/R industry for 12 years. Worked both Commercial and Residential as a service tech and installer. I'd have to say my best experience was as a residential installer and tinner, since I was never bored going to a new job site every few days. Currently I am a HVAC/R Tech at a hospital for the past 6 years. Besides Rooftop units, Split systems, icemachines, walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-ins and uprights, I am responsible to maintain Medical-Air compressors, Dewstats, CO2 monitors, sheetmetal fabricator and ductwork installer as well as the occasional welding project here & there. All great stuff. I love the work, good pay and regular hours, but I have been known to work some OT to get the job done. It's great to have a web-site to talk about our profession. Thank's for having me!
