A year or so ago we bought a GE Zoneline PTAC unit to replace an old Amana one in our condo. Folks on this board were helpful in our decision! Generally we've been pleased with it, but am wondering if something's amiss with it. We have it set at 70 or so and the a/c cranks on and off with what seems fairly normal frequency. However, it frequently starts up and immediately shuts off. Then a few minutes later starts up again and stays on for awhile as expected. Seems like we must be wasting elec as it does this. Any theories out there on why this might be happening and how we can resolve (if indeed we need to)? Thanks.
