Finally getting tired of my current wholesale supply house messing up my orders. On top of that they don't keep any of the common compressors in stock. I have ordered from URI in the past and their service was good. Does anyone know if they keep any common compressors in stock? My current supply house that shall remain nameless just lost a good customer for me. The compressor I ordered was to be drop shipped to me and instead went to their branch location. Cost me three days of waiting and customer was not happy. All I got from supply house was "Oh well it happens sometimes." I could understand an occassional mistake, but they have done this to me on the last 4 or 5 orders.

I would switch to URI.
I would also raise Cain with the head manager over what this has cost you.

Call the boys at URI in Portland. They'll take care of you better than anyone !
Each United location has a "base" inventory that should be in every branch. if they are a Copeland branch, which I think they are, everything from an ARE27 up to a 4Dt32200 should be in stock. If not it's a day away from the Taunton MA Warehouse.
Anything else about URI you need to know? :D

Yes. Why is the warehouse in Taunton and not in Woburn?

We moved it to a bigger facility about 18 months ago, and opened a new branch with it.

Thanks to everyone who responded. URI will be getting my bussiness from here on out. This last incident with my current supplier was the last straw. One thing I did notice was all the prices in the URI catalog are way higher than what they should be. Lets say I order something that the catalog says is $XX when I get the invoice it is considerably less. I'm assuming their catalog is listing retail and I can get the multiplier from my local branch? Oh well I will give the portland branch a call next week and find out. It will finally be great to deal with a supplier that at least has some compressors in inventory:D R12, believe me I did raise cain with the manager, and all I got was "oh well it happens sometimes." That's ok I may have lost a small customer but they just lost a big one:D Thing that ticks me off is that even though they were a small customer for me, they paid every time before I left, I'm going to try to talk to the owner next week and smooth things out. I don't blame them though, I would be mad too if I was without a cooler for 3 days when it only should have been one.

The catalog is a list price catalog, and all items will have a general multiplier but the branch may have a differnet multiplier for each account.
