went to service a refrigerator today thought it would be simple, but thats life.I could here the start relay 0pening and closing with the compressor making a hummmmm.and upon that i checked the compacitor for the rating of Uf which was correct, then voltage at relay which was correct also.then ohm out the compressor my reading are 7-5-3 from start to commond, run to command, start to run.the only thing i can think of that i did'nt check, was the amps and compare with name plate because compressor could be lock rotor depending on amp reading. and i did'nt check the compacitor under load, any information would be helpful.

I thought the command terminal and the start terminal were the same thing...

I think he misspelt "common".That's ok.What I noticed was the start to run reading. It might also be a typo?
jc,you could also try to reverse the motor for a second..that will sometimes unlock the compressor.
Didn't do well spelling capacitor either.
