Are there any special considerations when sizing mini splits for homes? I've been told there are.
This is what I have. I have a small home with no attic.
2 Rooms connected by a doorway.
Walls = R19
Ceiling = R30
Floor=Carpet
Home is covered in shade
NW=42.21 Double pane
NE= 20 Metal / Foam core door /solid w/storm
29.38 double pane
SE= 17.77 Metal / Foam core door /solid w/storm
5.5 Double Pane
SW= 37.04 Doule Pane
Room 1 is 34 x 15 x 8 Kit/Liv
Room 2 is 21 x 15 x 8 Bed/bath
I came up with 9000 btu's for Room1 and 7000 for room 2. Or 1.5 for the whole home.
