Ran into a Manni QY060W today w/ water pouring out the drain (from the cond.)Check pres. and head wasn't budging.
(about 200p w/ 68*F amb.) But it seemed it would run out for 10-13 sec and off for 6-8 sec, is this normal. Could it be the water regulater, to much water pressure...AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

Did You Pull The Side Cover Off Yet?
On Water Cool Series, You Set The Head Pressure For 225 Psi....If The Unit Runs For Only 10--13 Sec Then Off, Does The Pump Run?...Only On Start Up?......Check Your Compressor....The Start Relay May Not Be Droping Out.....All So Does Water Leak Out Past The Reg Valve?.....Check Theses Out...Good Luck

Thanks for the reply cracker. the unit is making full slabs of ice, no problem there, alot of water is running out of the drain thats not normal. As far as the unit itself it will fill the bin full. Thanks again.

Adjust the head pressure to 225-230 psi like cracker said. Check the leaving water temp, and suction pressure. Then turn the machine off and see if water still runs through the condenser. This should tell you everything you need to know.

Pull And Clean The Dump Valve......There Be Junk On The Seat Allowing water To By Pass.
if the dump valve was leaking you would get very poor ice production. Needs to be determined if it is condenser water or resivoir water. Sorry just re read. Check the pressures and if it shuts off as stated above.

Do I adjust the head pres. by adjusting TXV???

No.
Adjusted it by turning the stem on the water regulating valve with a refrigeration wrench. It is located directly behind the machines left side cover. (facing the machine). It should be easy to spot. - It's connected in line with the inlet to the condenser. Turn the stem clockwise to increase head pressure, and counterclockwise to decrease. Keep an eye on leaving water temperature. Should end up with somewhere around 225 - 230 psig head, and 105-112 degree leaving water temperature.
Leave the expansion valve alone.
Verify suction pressures thoughout the entire cycle once you have the correct head pressure.
Get yourself the Manitowoc tech books for all the models. Lots of good info. Or, visit Manitowocs website and download.
Good Luck.

Sorry about head pres. quest. I dont know what I was thinking. Thanks for the reply on it. I have adj. the head pres. to 225 and it is still dumping water from the Cond. drain, I dont think this is normal? Has anyone else run into this problem?
Does the cond. lines ever need to be cleaned and if so whats the best way to do this?
I have tried to download the ser. info. from mani. and it wont display.(it will in other laguages, but guess what, I dont know any other)Thanks for any info I can get.

Is the water running constantly during harvest as well as freeze? It should run constantly during freeze, but NOT during harvest. If it is running during harvest, you likely have a bad regulator.

go online to the factory site and download the manual on that series machine.
Then buy ALL the manuals, they are not expensive, when you are in town next time.

Thanks for all the replys. It is making ice to cap.
The owners said this unit NEVER had water running out the drain. From what I have found out, it is normal. Thanks for all the info, I have learned alot and hope to be able to help out sometime,Im used to working on air cooled not water cooled. THANKS AGAIN.
