Foster Roll-In Freezer

Anyone familiar with Foster roll-in freezer Model MIL52? I was working on one today and found that there was a problem with the defrost settings. It is controlled by an electronic board, there was no physical timeclock. I forced it into manual defrost (there were instructions on the inside of the door for this) and the defrost was functioning properly but I don't know how to program a defrost schedule and was not able to find any info on the web...

If anyone has anything for me, I'd appreciate it...

Is it possable that the board is monitoring the temperature of the coils surface to initiate defrost. Necessity vs. Time. Just a thought.
