Where on my A/C system is the size of the unit? On the compressor or air handler? e.g 1 ton, 2 ton.

Thanks.

The model number of the air conditioner is your best bet. It and other data should be on a sticker on the outdoor unit.

Ok here are the specs:

Goodman Manufacturing
Houston, TX

Model # CPLE24-1C

Hopefully someone here can tell me the size of the unit based on that.

Thanks

My guess would be 24 = 24,000 btu's or 2 tons.

Is 2 tons enough for a 1350sq ft apartment in southern missouri. Where it rarely goes above 95?

First, your unit is definitely a 2-ton unit.

Second, there is no way for anyone here to tell you whether it is the correct size for your home! A load calc is in order to answer that question. There are many load calc programs out there... one at the top of this web-site. Click on the red dot and do your own load calc if you wish.

First, jultzya is right.

Second, two tons is definitely enough if you have a downstairs apartment. You may or may not be pushing your luck if it's an upstairs apartment. How do I know? I have a crystal ball.
