I'm doing research for a novel I'm writing and found this forum. One of my characters works in the HVAC business, which I know NOTHING about, so I'm hoping what I learn here will help me make him realistic and competent!

As Tech said read the residential and commercial forums.

If you do a lot of reading and follow a lot of threads you should get a good feel for the work we do.

Tech and Chuck - I'd already been reading LOTS of threads here, before I finally bit the bullet and decided to join. I've got a specific issue I need help with right now so wanted to post a question about that. It's been put in the general discussion forum, if you care to look.
