my compressor on my roof runs great on cool days but when it gets hot it shuts down and comes back on after being manually reset. im trying to figure out what the problem is and how it can be corrected. my cooler continually gets up to 50 degrees and it needs to maintain at least 36 degrees. any help or advice would be greatly appreciated..
thanks

Call a local licensed professional for help... your beer will be colder and your customers happier.
Sounds like Brad's Liquor IS the customer. Dirty Condenser, Bad condenser fan motor, over charge,???????
Call a professional we get paid for knowing stuff like this.

I HAVE HAD A MASTER ELECTRICAN AND A REFRIRATION COMPANY LOOK AT IT AND NEITHER CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT.

Fire that refrigeration co. and look for another. Who does your competition use? Friends, business associates? Click here (http://hvac.buildcentral.com/search/search_hvac.asp?csi_id=2140&csicode=&userid=20376&email=jerrycoolsaz@yahoo.com&storefronts=1) for help in looking for a contractor in your area. Oh, and please don't yell.

your superheat is probably too high and by
this time, the compressor is near death
(too late to save)
this is a guess, since your description was a
bit vague. there are a hundred guess's we can
make
if you act on each guess this will cost you a fortune
a quality mechanic will cost a lot less
And what has to be reset???? HPCO??? Circuit breaker??? Could even be a lose connection at the breaker, or any lose connection can cause the breaker to trip. And I have seen master elecricians over look the obvious.

A weak breaker can also be the problem. Been there before! But, RAYR is right on it!

Kevin, first of all .... you offer no info about who you are personally.
I know cause I looked in your profile.
So in essence, you are offering nothing and asking for something from us.
It would have been better if you had introduced yourself as a maintenance man for a chain of independant stores. And that you were trying your best to figure out this problem.
And list the things you found when you arrived on site and what you did and THEN ask us for advice.
We probably would have given some things to check.
But you come here, smelling of a do it yourself "Handy Dan" and you dont even bother to introduce yourself.
And you dont offer anything about who or what you are or do or nuthin'!
And .... you are breaking the site rules!
And THEN you have the nerve to yell at us.....
Let me offer you a valuable piece of advice .... for free.
There is no such thing as a free ride!
When you do locate a reputable service contractor to come and address your issues .... do NOT look over their shoulder while they are working!!!
What they know is THEIR BUSINESS! Not yours!!!
And just because they are there working on your equipment it does NOT entitle you to look over their work ... as they are performing their duties!
You dont want an A/C service company looking at your walk in cooler. You want a commercial refrigeration service contractor fixing your cooler!
There is a difference in the two trades.
My only hope now is that you straighten up before Dice finds your here.

I agree.I have seen some questions like this from store and restaurent and bar owners and can tell from how they discribe the problem they have no clue and it would be wrong to suggest a fix.Paying your dues in the trade allows you to ask questions because we know you will understand the answear.Every tech that read this would know the first thing to look at if it was a HPC or a breaker.Would you give your booze away?Service techs make money mostly off thier knowaedge and expierence-not to mention investing in tools.Good luck and just showing you the other side of picture.Just my 2 cents.Thousands of years ago Sun Tzao in the Art of War wrote-the solution lies in first identifing the problem.Any tech will know what that means-do you?
