Airflow in York upright gas furnace is reverse

Inspected a York furnace today. 80,000 BTU gas-fired with model P3DNA12n06401B.

The evaporator coil is underneath the unit and airflow through the duct system is reversed. The return ductwork attaches to the top of the unit and air blows through coming out of the supply ducts at the bottom of the system. I have never seen this before.

I can't determine if the unit is rated for this.

Any ideas?

Google just gives this thread and some parts on Ebay! I think the D in the model number denotes downflow, in which case this application is ok. Hopefully a York or Luxair expert will tell us.
Some, but not all furnaces can be installed this way.

Thats a down flow 64,000 BTU output 3 ton drive furnace. So the evap coil should be under it, with the air flowing/blowing down to the coil.

Always good to make sure, especially if it's a New York in Atlanta.
