Looks fine to me. I'm not fond of 1 pipe 95s in a basement, especially beside laundry equipment. Rather see an intake from outside.

I'm not a fan of it anywhere.

i agree 100 % sealed combustion is healthier and safer

Nice looking job. We haven't done any 95% Nordyne equipment yet, but their 80's are just fine.

Neat install but I concur with the 2 pipe philosophy

Just out of curiosity.....if you'd put an 80 down there that draws from the space for combustion, why would a 95 pose a concern?

Sometimes drives the pressure switch nuts. Among other things.

i agree with 2 pipes. We have other clients close this one and stinkbugs, for some reason have been going into the intake pipe a making a real mess. I get creeped out when i see that many in one place so i thought i would try just one pipe

Just out of curiosity.....if you'd put an 80 down there that draws from the space for combustion, why would a 95 pose a concern?

Several reasons. Main one is less infiltration caused by drawing combustion air from an interior space and then exhausting it. Efficiency. Contaminated combustion air causes problems. As stated above, pressure differentials between indoor and outdoor can create pressure switch problems. Noise, intake noise from the combustion fan, burner noise.
