Amrik, you got balls for posting so much. A lot of guys just lurk cause they are afriad of asking questions they assume are just to simple.

But to all of us in the trade, we all had to learn one way or the other.

If you want answers on expansion valves, look in the FYI section of this site for articles writen by NormChris and others on super heat and subcooling.
Also do a search, on this forum, for the topic of expansion valves.

There is a lot writen about their operation.


Also .... a guy named Andy Schoen who works for Sporlan hangs out here from time to time.
He has writen a lot on the subject.
