do AC units need recharging with freeon still? all seems to be working. fan is going, outlet pipe is cold and condensed, inlet is warm, motor is spinning :)
replaced filter as well... it just doesnt seem to get me under 74 right now when in the past it worked like a champ keeping me sub 70.

They need recharging if they have a leak. Otherwise, no. They do need cleaning, the outdoor coil especially. The surface may look clean but between the fins could be clogged.

also, it may just be me but it doesnt seem to be blowing AS MUCH air as in the past... this could just be me though since i like it cold and it doesnt feel like COLD air.

If it is not moving as much air as it used to and nothing has changed regarding the ductwork or the units themselves, sounds like the coil needs a cleaning. Not really a DIY job. For the outdoor unit open it up and hose it out.
PS: Stay away from pressure washers, they do a mean job on condensor fins.
