samsung mini split !

ok so this is my problem, i have a samsung as12abmc mini split ,the problem is the compresor stop after 10 min of operation. so i saw that 1/2 line was freez outside just here i dont have insulation. so what i did is take off the freon,see for a leak did n find, do a vacumm, recharg the system whit the right amont of gaz 28.2 oz,start the system ,do the samething so i open the unit inside check the evaporator dont freez great condensation, so take the temperature before and after 80degree in 45-50 out ,but the compresor still stop. so then i take off the pipe sensor in the coil inside , work well now. the pressure is 55 psig suction. is it normal that is freez outside in the suction pipe where is not insulated, dont suppose to do condensation like the coil inside !!!! like central system. NO LEAK, NO CAPILLARY BLOCK, NO FREEZING INSIDE,i now that my td is big 30-35 , but is a mini split. ty for all your response,sorry for my english.

Hi Eric I have put a couple of these in . Is the o.d ambient warm?.also check the lineset lenth and lift against the installers guide. these dont allow as much as a sanyo or mitsubishi .also did you use a micron gauge? they can pull down to 200 microns easily .then you know its dry .If above is ok then it may need some more charge? Although Ive never needed to add any with the ones i have put in. good luck

hep today is pretty warm around 30degree celcius, it is a 3 years installation, 12 feet of line set, i dont use a micro gauge but i rise the pressure whit azote to 350 psig for 1 hour dont mouve, i just do a simple vacumm, i try a little bit more freon but when the compresor start they do to much noise . to muchamp.

i havent worked on a mini split but do know a ting or 2 bout them. YOU CANNOT RUN MINI SPLITS UNDER AN AMBIENT OF 65!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they have a thermistor to sense temps other than that, screw mini splits! get a trane

Eric take a mini split training class - all that you ask will be answered there
alternatively read the instructions that came with the minisplit and check to be sure you are following them to the letter

BTW you don't say if green ref or pink ref

look for a 1800 number
