okay, so the company got a big account to "fix up" some incremental units, about 150 of them.

they are mostly "K9L5"'s made by snyder-general, climate control, and mcquay. so far, i have fixed 5, scraped 1, and picked up the next batch of 6.

out of the first workable 5, i swapped two condenser motors, three cages, two of them had leaks at the metering device, and generally in bad to terrible shape.

my boss actually bought the indoor section to test these things on, and use for training.

man, i am starting to hate these things already, and this is only upto #12!

At a resort I work at we maintain around 560 rooms with them.Believe me they get boring.Tell me how is it going now.Jimmy

trick i used when the units were dust packed especially on the evap squirrel cages...get a 5 gallon bucket and some KMP condenser cleaner the caustic "pink gallon" dump it in with the same water amount.take the squirrel on a coat hanger and dip it in a couple of times then into a pure bucket of water.....comes out brand new!

thankfully, when i started my new job, i forgot all about these. gee, i sure did hate them though. lol
