Does anyone have any preference? All i can say is someone copied someone. One thing i dont like about carlyle is the stub tubes for the discharge and suction lines. They are steel and have to be silver soldered and if you dont paint them they rust away.

I believe the Carlye is a Bristol, and all Schrolls look about the same.

the millenium is a piece of junk, have had nothing but problems with the ones we have picked up under contract, highest failure rates Ive seen in a scroll.

Every time I see a millenium I assume something is wrong with it until proven otherwise. RIP Snowball

The millenium is prone to leak at the spotwelds on the body. I have seen it many times.
It still beats the Tecumseh "SF"

The plant that made them, Scroll Technologies, was a joint venture between Bristol & Carlyle/Carrier. They since sold the plant to Danfoss. Not sure if that plant is still making them or not. Swapped a residential sized one out Monday, box said it did but could be older unit. The new scrolls that used to be Bristol now say Danfoss on them.
