I am not familiar with this system. I had some exposure to it when I was on the west coast. I havn't seen it much here in north east.

Can I use a johnson system and comunicate with it. What are my options. I think the Novar may be BacNet .

Apparently the common answer when confused about something. Pick the confusing protocol.

Novar is not BACNet. It can be intergrated using a BACNet gateway but has an open protocol and web-based using TCP/IP or ethernet.

From my understanding, no one has made a BACnet compatible gateway to work with a Novar system. We are having that same problem right now with one of our jobs. So as it stands, Novar isnt compatible at all. This information came from my alerton rep this morning, and Automated Logic has said the same thing.

If these guys are still in business they claim to have a novar driver.
May be worth a call.
Novar logic one is proprietry model at its finest.
