Cooling a pizza store? A "real" BTU rating?

Probably about .5 tons, accounting for the grease factor. Deduct another .25 if the blower is belt driven and the belt looks like it hasn't been replaced since the Flintstones went off prime time TV.

:D

Have you tried getting any info off the compressor and then seeing if anything online was available? If it's a Copeland, you can register at their site and get info for even their obsolete compressor models. Other compressor OEMs, your mileage will vary.

Went there for an estimate on installing a mini split. Asked the guy what's he been using, said the a/c on the roof wasn't enough, wants to only use mini splits...told him no way in a pizza joint, he's gotta replace the big monster.

90 would be a 7.5 ton. At least when new!

Speakin' of pizza joints, friend is opening one. Landlord said the existing 3 ton J should cool the place fine. Yea, my manual N with no cooking equipment comes out to 8 ton!
