I am having problems with setpoints for vav controlers disapearing and not able to enter in a setpoint.
I repaired the update and every thing seems to be ok for now. I not that savy with vista its a lot differant than inet.
any help?

What do you mean by setpoint disappearing? What VAV controllers are you using, 102AX? Have you checked parameters with LonMaker plug-in, or LonMaker browser?

see that the thing is some boxes have mrvav-x and some are siemens.
I was just handed this account and I dont know much about Lonworks ive been reading up but the guy that has some idea about the job is in Budapest working a tac job in the american embacy. so im stuck.
ive gone to the update stored on the workstation and repaired the program and went threw all the boxes and assigned space setpoints.
I dont think the problem lies in the comms i think it is something in the vista end of it. or at least it looks that way. If i had comms problems wouldnt the boxs not respond or /and it would be just one or two.

My condolences.... If you are not familiar with LON that is one issue, but if you have not been to Vista training you might as well be trying brain surgery.

Yeah, it sounds like someone with more Vista/LonMaker experience needs to come in and look at the system. One thing you could try while your guy is in Budapest - disconnect a TAC (102AX, MR-VAV-AX is INET only) controller from the network and use I/STAT or M/STAT to check all parameters. Leave that controller disconnected from network and see if it functions normally. If it works fine off-net but screws up on-net, you definitely have problems with the network/frontend.
