Esp = return plenum sp + discharge.
How does Fan total sp differ?
Would it be discharge + fan suction in fan plenum? or is it the same thing just asked differently?
I searched posts but can't seem to find much on Fan total sp.
Thanks for your help.

ESP is everything external to the furnace/air handler (unless specified differently by the manufacturer), whereas the total fan static pressure would be everything external to the fan. So that would also include, heat exchangers, cabinet, plus everything external to the furnace/air handler. In HVAC work, we're usually concerned with the ESP, not the fan static pressure.
Blower companies on the other hand are interested in fan static pressure, because one blower system could be used in numerous applications.
Total fan static pressure = internal SP + external SP.
