Hello,
I'm self employed as a plumber / Heating technician. I live in France.
I plan to settled in Nevada state in couple of years.
I got alot of things to learn from you guys

Yes, I was surprised to see hydronic heating is not common over there...Why ?
In France there are some split systems but they're used to cooling most part of time. Split systems has not enough power when the temperature outside is cold...

The answer to your first question is probably because it costs more. Even though the best comfort and efficiency are possible with hydronics people buy whatever is cheap here.
If you're going to Nevada you probably will never see hydronics outside of commercial HVAC.
