I did a preventive maintance/programed service on three of these Voyager units. First time I've worked on these commercial type units. I cleaned the coils; I split the condenser coil to clean. Checked pressures, amps and voltage. All three of the units had loose blower belts. Is this normal? These units are 1999 install and never been serviced before. Is there a requirement to change the belts? Over time do they stretch?

The belt numbers are BX62. The belt on one of the units was so loose that the air flow across the evap coil was affected to the point that the evap was iced over.

Can someone give me the steps to a preventive maintance/programed service on a voyager unit? Also is there a requirement to change the belts and what is the correct tension?

Thanks,

System is here with spec downloads (http://www.trane.com/Commercial/Equipment/ProductDetails.aspx?prod=115)

Yes, of course belts are going to stretch. Replace all belts once a year, good or bad...
