Started service work for long term Carrier dealer. Trying to pick up info on typical problems in resi Carrier furnaces and ACs. Have already read over many threads that mentioned 2ndary HE's, Air-P switches and mid-90's coils. Any/all feedback would be a great help.

It would be much better to inquire about industry flaws. I assume your company works on other brands even though it is a Carrier dealer.
I was a dealer for Carrier and Rheem/Ruud products mostly, but I kept up on issues with certain models of a all brands.
If you keep up on this forum you come across issues dealing with all brands. Some of the issues are shared between brands using the same vendor part of similarly manufactured parts.

For the most part, Carrier components fare as well as any other manufacturers out there.
Robo makes a good point about observing INDUSTRY flaws as a whole.
That noted, who in the hell makes those damned defrost switches used on Carrier heat pumps?
NC switch that initiates and terminates defrost.
I've replaced more of those switches than any other component used by Carrier.
