I have read issues with some manufactures using low grade Chineese copper tubing. Is there a list of culpruits which one should avoid?

copper sure ain't what it used to be. I can't work 3/4" copper like I used too, HAD to buy a bender to keep from kinking it. But that was cool, that bender is getting used often.

I'll never forget my salesman saying the manufacturer is using thinner copper for better heat transfer, yeah right.

yeah and all new cars have crumple zones..... its called paper thin sheetmetal and weak frame material. no wonder why insurance rates are so high, you can hardly hit anything that wont total a new car.

Come on guys, this is a serious question!
Several months ago this was discussed and brands identified. I have used the search trying to find the thread with no success.
I would like to avoid Chinese copper and support american productss Yes I know much is manufacture in Mexico; at least the companies are US

That means little that the companies are American owned. Everyone thought it was a crime a few weeks back when I said that after I check the lines sets closely on a change out then I reuse them. I have noticed for some time that copper is not as good as it was.

How where you bending before? If you haven't been using springs or beam type whats was your game?

You could try annealing first, but that won't get you around a short radius.

That would then be MADE IN MEXICO

US steel thats made in korea is called ponyang, it is still MADE IN KOREA

so if it says MADE IN CHINA it was not made by a US company
