I am curious if anyone has butt brazed any copper lines on AC Units? Far as i see the weakest joint would be the brase rod which should hold around 5000 psi to my understanding & specs. Just seeing if any one has done this before or have any problems? OPINIONS WANTED!!!

stop reposting the same topic.................i do not think it is a good idea to do what you say.Thats why we have couplings.

about 15 years ago i got a call about a leak on a sunday
got there and the owner was pissed and his wife had just got back from the hospital with 14 stiches in her shoulder
was a first time coustomer by the way
seems some guy doing the install during construction had end brazed the liquid line and it blew apart while she was doing wash
oil every where and all over her to some freezer burns to
that company witch is no longer in busniss was sued
hope that answers ypour question
