My company leases over 200 apartment units around town and they are all cooled with ductless splits (we're in Asia). Some of the occupants are turning their tstats down 66F at all times. We pay the utility bills and some of the bills are out of this world.

We've got every make and model of ductless known to man and there's no way to standardize the units in the apartments. So that being said, is it possible to set a min cooling setpoint on each persons remote control stat or is there some way to replace the stat or do something to the unit to not let it go below 72F or something like that?

(Perhaps people are turning it down because the unit is undersized, but with 200+ units, there's no way I can go run load calcs on each unit! :0)

Thanks!

there should be a deadband on the remotes its just a matter of finding how the manufacture has you adjust it check with manufacturers tech support or local rep
