so up until about a year ago my company has sold mainly all york. But lately over the past year we have have had nothing but problems with them. recently with the 33 inch tall poor designd drain pans cracking due to the wrong oil used durring production, then they re did the drainpans again due to water blocking pressure switch from closing, they installed a baffle to re direct water. now they have a new design with ruber plugs due to caps not making a tight seal!! We have also had a bunch of issues with the 40 inch tall furnace drain pan gasket breaking down causing primary heat to be mixed with secondary heat causing limit trips and bad draft motors. flue discharge temps over 175 degree. The fix is to replace drain pan and gasket. We have also had soooooooo many problems with pressure switches. I talked to the tech guy and he says they had a problem with the manufacture of the switch using bad contact material. the kicker is when you test the switch while draft motor is on it will ohm closed but still not allow enough voltage to pass? They claim problem is fixed with all the new ones. we also have had HUGE problems with their leaky coils mainly the blue coils. Their are certain date codes where they made a whole slew of bad coils. I have spent the past two summers replacing them. I guess what i would like to know is has any other york dealers had all theese problems? I feel they have great ideas but a poor QC dept. I miss the diamond 80s those were bullet proof

I'm right there with you. We don't install York/Coleman products anymore because of the recurring call-backs.

I've seen all these problems you listed in the field. My area has alot of York furnaces in it. York has taking two steps back on their latest products. I agree, Please bring back the diamond 80....
