I believe that the manufacturer of my heat pump is Inter-City Products.
My heat pump says High Efficiency 5000 on top of the Condenser.
The model number is CH5042VKB3.
The style number is 42MHA-000089ZR.
How many tons is my heat pump?
If you know how many tons my heat pump is, just out of curiosity, how did you find out such information?
If you find out from a website that has a database that contains such data, what is the web address of the website?

you take the number 42 out of the model # .its 12,000btu per ton than take 42 divided by 12 = 3.5

Do you know what the 50 in the model number stands for?Based on the model name of 'High Effeciency 5000', I'm guessing it's just that, a model/series number. numerically, probably means nothing.
