Hi, Sorry if this is wrong place to post this but cant find any info on the web about it.
I have a iheater model IH 1500. My problem with the heater is when I turn it on it heats up starts putting out heat but after 2 to 3 mins if that it shuts off. all lights on the board goes green. hit power again and it instantly shuts back off. Can here a clicking nosie before it shuts off like a relay click. Also my control panel doesnt work ,other then the power on and the auto on button. Could this just be a board problem or would it be thermostat sensor or regulatator transformer or fan sensors? Can wait 5 mins plug it back in and it works again for the 2 to 3 mins then goes back to shutting off.
Thanks for any help in advanace,

The best thing you can do now is to call a pro out to take a look at and determine what's going on. If you start replacing parts, you might fix it, but it'll probably cost you more money than if you have a pro fix it right the first time.

This is a $300 portable from a big box. Wouldn't be sensible to call the HVAC guy, might cost more to fix than replacing it. If it is under warranty, take it back or follow instructions in the manual. If not, see if there is a cheap fix-it store in town.

Do not much about them , but what I do know is that they draw more electricity in the first 2-3 minutes as it warms up about 12 amps, then drops off to I believe 6-7 amps. At this time the ceramic heat exchanger starts to radiate heat into the room. I know they are not very expensive, it might cost you more to fix it than it is worth.

The heater is only two years old. The parts that I listed run from 15 to 30 each the board is 75. I can install the parts. Don't mind putting a 100 in it. There isn't that many parts in it. I know the element works and the fan.
