I have two roof top vestibule units on a Tracer Summit System with the ZN517 Tracer in each unit. One is giving me a steady space temperature failure diagnostic and the other is jumping between normal operation and space temperature failure.
The zone sensor has been replaced on the one unit that was jumping between normal and failure and the space temperature failure diagnostic problem still exists.

I am relatively new to this system and could use any input as to what I can look at next. I am thinking a possible wiring issue broken wire, loose wire etc. Or should I be looking towards a program malfunction in the BAS itself?

Correction it was a thermistor that was replaced not a zone sensor module.

Hi Xiron,

It´s possible you have a wiring issue. Remember to check that the wire you´re using doesn´t have any cuts or joints. Another thing, what kind of wire are you using?

Also make sure connections are clean and tight at each end. For third ground on shielded wire leave one end disconnected.

One more thing dude:

You sure its a space temperature failure ? or a discharge temperature sensor failure ?

What is the model of the zone sensor you´re using?

How long have these RTUs had the ZN controllers in them? There is a know problem with these controllers, and a new version is available
