RECENTLY REPLACED 20 TON DISCUSS COMPRESSOR ON R-22 FREEZER. FLUSHED ENTIRE SYSTEM WITH NITROGEN AND REPLACED TXV BONNET.
PULLED VACUUM FOR 8 HRS TO 500 MICRONS.
REPLACED FREON , ADDED ACID NEUTRALIZER TO OIL. REPLACED DISCHARGE OIL SEPERATOR, LIQUID INJECTION DRIER AND BURNOUT CORES IN LIQUID LINE.
CHARGED SYSTEM WITH 120 LBS R-22 AND AM GETTING A LOT OF FOAM IN CRANKCASE SIGHT GLASS. DON'T KNOW IF LIQUID INJECTION CONTROL IS BAD
OR WHAT? COLD COMPRESSOR WAS RUNNING WHEN I SHUT IT DOWN, HAD BAD VALVES AND WOULD NOT PUMP DOWN.FREON SMELLED BADDD.
I AM MAINLY AN AMMONIA TECH, BUT DO SOME FREON.

I'm with k-fridge.
Repost this in refrigeration and ice-making along with some more system details like pressures and temperatures and we can discuss this in more detail.

THANKS FOR REPLY GUYS, I DID TALK TO A KRAMER ENGINEER AND HE SAID I WAS DOING EVERY THING RIGHT SO FAR, BUT WASEN'T SURE ABOUT THE OIL FOAMING. COMPRESSOR SUPERHEAT IS A LITTLE HIGH BUT NO FLOOD BACK,
OIL FOAMS UP ON PUMPDOWN AND COMES BACK AFTER DEFROST ENDS.
THINK MAYBE LIQUID INJECTION MODULE IS BAD OR ACID KILLER IS CAUSING FOAM ? SUCTION PR 12PSIG, DIS PR 200PSIG,EVAP SUPHT ABOUT 10*.

Are you having any problems or did you just notice the foaming oil?
Foaming isn't abnormal during pumpdown.

thanks for the reply, this is a replacement comp and oil is foaming while running but pump down causes oil to foam up and leave comp ?
just started on this website trying to find my way around.

How high is the oil level?
Could the crankshaft be hitting the oil during operation?

Ammoniaman- welcome to the site.
Is this Kramer unit electric defrost, or is it hot gas?
If it is hot gas, make certain that the thermobank is full of water and that the holdback valve is functioning. Also, you said dual compressor. If this is a dual compressor unit, it probably is also dual bank, and they are a real pain in the arse to set up for floodback control in defrost.
As stated by others, reposting in Refrigeration and Icemaking will get your thread more views, and probably more responses.
