I'm looking for some help to confirm some info on an old residential style Carrier/Payne package unit. I have a M# of 584AN060080, S# 584AN060080AAED. Based on Model and Serial, it appears to be a 5 ton unit mfg in 1980?? Unsure if the unit is heat pump, gas/electric, etc. Can anyone confirm some info on this unit and possibly provide a source where I can get cut sheets on the equipment?

I'm not a Carrier guy, but those numbers don't look right. You've got basically the same numbers for both the model and serial. Most of the Carrier/Bryant/Payne units I've seen will have a product number, model number, and serial number. The product number and model number are almost identical, which is what I think you have right here. Some units also had a series number. You might want to double check your numbers.

Big Sky is correct - the serial number is wrong.
From the model number - you have a 5 ton unit.
These are about 1990 models, not 1980. Without the correct serial number I can't be sure of exact date.
It is a Packaged Gas/Electric Unit, not a heat pump.
Sorry but we can't post manuals on this forum.

Ya, looks like a model number, and the product number.
