Hi friends; OK I am a little confused with a noise. I 100 TON screw comp, with economizer too,this chiller is york model YCAS0440E. Four compressor in the unit.Ok I listen a noise inside the compressor like a AIR LEAK. All pressure it/s OK but I listen that noise. Any idea to be appreciated

It could be the internal relief valve in the compressor. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Unless it causes problems.

opps! Its a screw compressor. Some recips have internal reliefs.

but what does an economizer do on a chiller?? or is it really a low ambient control

no, it is an economizer.

Economizer = Motor cooling
