The company i work for is a Comfort systems branch, to tell the truth, i really am not crazy about the place. Too many controls, and paperwork for my taste, and if that wasn't enough, we will be getting GPS installed this month. From what i can gather, the benefits and money vary wildly from place to place, so i would really hate to build your hopes with how cheap the insurance is, and see you get a different deal.

If the GPS thing actually does come through, i will be leaving with a few other tech's to start our own shop.
I guess any company has it's goods and bads, and dont make up your mind on the strength of my post. I am quite sure the shop you are considering is way different than the one i work for, but just like all companies that are large, the individuals that make up your shop could be great.

If you are very detailed in your paperwork, you should have no problem.

So they are hiring you to work alone in a specific territory? I hadn't heard of them doing this before that far east. They've got their act together for one of these companies. Of course the paperwork, phone calls, and emails will be an ordeal but I would think you'd have to expect that already....right?

The paperwork isn't a problem, I do a ton of it now. As far as comming east, they have the accounts but were sub-contracting it out. Now they want there own people out here. Yep, I'll be alone, working from home.

It seems like a nice deal and the money is right (although the $$ isn't why i am leaving my current company) I'll think about it some more and make a decision tomorrow.

Thank you for the replies, I do appreciate them.

Couple of weeks ago,They ran an add in the local papers, looking for serv. tech, I' think that they are trying to become the wal-mart of the HVAC.
