Aquatherm Heat Pump

In my condo I have a aquatherm system that I can't stand because it eats up all of my hot water in the winter, and because I don't think it's a good efficient system.

I have included some pictures of what I have which should explain my problem, a single 50 gallon water heater on the main level for the entire 2 bedroom 1,400 sqft 2 level condo.

What I want to know is can I go with a tank less water heart to improve my how water availability enough so two or three people can take a hot shower during the the winter, or is my only option if I decided to keep the system is add a second independent water heater.

One 50 gallon water heater can't be enough to do everything, don't know why the builder did this.

Sizing is the issue. Not necessarily the gallon capacity, but the BTU rating of the water heater.
The heater should be of a "High Recovery" type that will have a higher btu rating. Here is the site for Aquatherm.

the water heater is a 50 gallon 40,000 btu/hr with 40.9 US gal/hr recovery rate.

I have been looking for sometime now and I can't find anything higher, is there anything higher that you know of. That is why I am thinking about going tank less, that is if it could handle the demand.

As you can see I am limited in the space I have, so going to a 80 gallon is not an option.

Ask some of your neighbors what size they have. or if you can look at theirs.

No Mixing valve that I can see. Often left off these systems. Can't run them hotter.
Rinnai has an air handler for their unit. If you go that route. But they do need proper maintenance.

No, it's the same thing across the board. They only difference is that in some units the water heater is in the garage.

The neighbors that live in my breezeway are all great friends. In a few other parts of the complex I got other good friends that are like family, and I have remodeled 4 units, it's all the same garbage and we all have the same issue.

Turn on the heat and you don't have hot water for 2 people to take a 5 minute shower.
